5 ways to play with the alphabet sensory bin

Sensory bins are magic for kids! They get to use their imaginations, solve problems, work on their fine motor skills, improve their vocabulary, and even reduce anxiety all while playing! If you are a homeschool mom, preschool teacher, or special needs parent whose child is learning the alphabet, this is for you!

Here are 5 ways you can use our alphabet sensory kit with your kids.

1. Bury the letters under the rice and have your little one find the letter you tell them to.

2. Say the sound that a letter makes, and have your little one pull out the corresponding letter. Remember, kids learn to read by sounding out words, not knowing the name of the letter.

3. Pull out a letter from the bin and have your little go on a scavenger hunt by finding items around the house that begin with that letter.

4. Have your little one pull out the letters in their name.

5. Have your little one pull out the vowels in the bin. Tell them the rule, without a vowel, you don't have a word

I hope these ideas have inspired you! There are so many creative ways to play with this sensory bin, it was hard to choose just 5. If you snag our sensory bin, and experiment with a few of these ideas, let me know which one worked best for you and your kids!
